This genealogy publication follows the ancestry of Moses Aldrich (1763-1850), back to the arrival of his ancestor, George Aldrich (c1605-1683) of Derbyshire who arrived in the Mass. Bay Colony in 1631, and that of his wife, Abigail Williams, a descendant of the William’s founding family of Providence, Rhode Island. George’s descendants are followed from Mass. to Rhode Island, to Vermont where they were among the earliest settlers in the 1790s, and to his descendant Moses’ arrival in Megantic County, Quebec in 1816. Moses’ descendants are followed to the Huron Tract of Upper Canada, the Canadian Prairies, the US mid-west, back to New England, and through the US Civil War, down to present times. Among his descendants is a past Director of the NASA Space Program. Moses’ family is also related to the family of Nelson Rockefeller, through Nelson’s father, the American industrialist.
