This publication is in two parts. Part I outlines and evaluates all of the primary and secondary information available on the generation of Hendersons who emigrated to Megantic County, and later to Vermont, namely James, Martha, William, Wilson, Thomas and Mary Ann, as well as other seemingly unrelated Hendersons. It lays the groundwork for researching their origins on the Caledon Estate of counties Tyrone and Armagh. Part II outlines the history of land ownership of the Caledon Estate, parish churches associated with it, and background information on the Caledon Estate as a community. It also includes extensive land and parish records in Ireland of our Hendersons, and related families of Edwards, Davidson, Oliver, Wright, Wilson, and Irvine.
